Program Completion Options

Career Track

BSU’s Career Track MBA is designed for students who have recently graduated with a non-business degree and have minimal work experience. It is a full-time program, cohort-based, and is uniquely created to provide students with the tools needed to boost their careers. It is 51 credit hours in length and takes two years to complete. All courses are offered during the day, and a three credit summer internship is required. Classes begin each fall, and no work experience is required to apply.

Professional MBA

The Professional MBA is a good fit for individuals with at least two years work experience and who are currently early to mid-career. It is a part-time, cohort-based program and its courses are offered only at night. It is a 50 credit hour program and takes three years to complete. A dual Professional MBA/JD is also available. Classes begin each fall, and a minimum of two years professional work experience is required to apply successfully.

EMBA

BSU’s Executive MBA is designed for working professionals who desire to obtain an MBA while working full time. It is a 21-month program, and students meet once per month (typically for three or four consecutive days). Students are also required to complete two week long residencies, one of which one is international. The program is 40 credit hours in length and designed to provide aspiring individuals with the skills needed for senior management positions. Classes begin each fall, and a minimum of six years managerial experience is required to apply successfully.

Each program has unique entrance requirements. An official GMAT score of between 500 – 550 is required for all programs except for the Executive MBA. However, a GMAT score can be waived for Fast Track applicants, and those with three or more years of managerial experience and a GPA of at least 3.0. Students often take two courses at a time for eight week periods to complete the program in 16 months. Idaho MBA Career and Job Outlook
