All of the schools listed below are public or non-profit and are regionally-accredited by the Southern Association of Schools and Colleges (SASC).

    Rice University has the lowest acceptance rate for undergraduate programs at 15%. The University of Texas at El Paso and the University of the Incarnate Word has 100% and 92% acceptance rates.

    While Rice University has one of the most expensive and selective programs in Texas, it also has the highest graduation rate of 93%. The school with the third-highest graduation rate, Texas A&M University – College Station, at 80%, accepts 67% of its applications, making it a desirable option for applicants.
