The program has several options that can meet your needs, whether you are a traditional full-time student, a working professional, or want to complete a dual degree. A part-time Evening MBA and a full-time MBA in Strategic Innovation, both requiring 45 credit hours, are offered. The college also offers several combined degree programs, including a 4+1 Bachelor of Science in Industrial and Systems Engineering-MBA, a Master of Oceanography-MBA, and a Doctor of Pharmacy-MBA, and an MBA program designed for Pfizer employees; however, the information below is primarily applicable to the stand-alone MBA degree.

    Program Admission

    Applications are submitted online and are reviewed on a rolling basis. The program is open to applicants with a bachelor’s degree in any subject. You will need to submit two reference letters, transcripts, a resume, your GMAT or GRE scores, and the $65 application fee. The one-year MBA program only admits students in the fall term, but the evening MBA has three start dates throughout the year.

    Salve Regina University is a Catholic institution offering an MBA degree requiring a minimum of 36 credit hours. The MBA curriculum offers a traditional general business education as well as specializations in emerging areas, such as cybersecurity, health care management, nonprofit management and social entrepreneurship. All students take classes in social justice and ethics in business as part of the core curriculum.

    To apply, you will need to submit an application with transcripts, a personal statement, a resume, two recommendation letters, and GMAT or GRE scores. You don’t need to have a bachelor’s degree in business to apply, but you will need to meet the prerequisite requirements in accounting, economics, and statistics.

    Johnson and Wales University has several campuses across the nation. The Providence campus offers an MBA degree that can be completed in as little as one year by completing a minimum of 54 credit hours.

    Program Admission

    The general application package for any graduate program at Johnson and Wales University must include an application form, transcripts, two letters of recommendation, and a statement of purpose. The minimum GPA for the MBA program is 2.85 but if you do not meet this GPA you can submit your application with GMAT or GRE scores if you feel they strengthen your application.

    Brown University offers an Executive MBA program in collaboration with IE Business School and is consistently ranked highly on a national and global scale. Students attend 6.5 weeks of intensive learning at IE campuses in Madrid, Providence, and Cape Town with online learning in between. The degree is suitable for working professionals and takes 15 months to complete. Students in the program have an average of 14 years of professional experience, including three years in management.

    Program Admission

    New students begin the program in March but applications are accepted on a rolling basis. The program is competitive and requires applicants have an undergraduate degree and at least 10 years of work experience, including at least three years of management experience. You will need to submit your transcripts, a photocopy of your passport or ID and a passport-sized photo, a resume, three essays, proof of work experience and any previous professional development, two recommendation letters, and an application fee.

    The curriculum focuses on Advanced Management Skills and the Human Sciences. Examples of courses include Managerial Economics, Fundamentals of Marketing, Financial and Cost Accounting, Global Markets, Social Structures & Global Cultures, and Innovation, Entrepreneurship & Decision Making.

    4. Johnson and Wales University – College of Management

    Online MBA programs in Rhode Island are difficult to find. In fact, Johnson and Wales University offers the onlyonline MBA program in Rhode Island. You can complete the degree in 18 months as either a general business degree or with one of four possible specializations.

    Program Admission

    You can apply to the program online and then submit your transcripts, two recommendation letters, and a statement of purpose. The minimum GPA for unconditional acceptance is 2.85. If your GPA is 2.85 or above, you don’t need to submit GMAT scores. If your GPA is lower, you may still be eligible for conditional acceptance. The Johnson and Wales online MBA program is not currently available to residents in Arkansas or Wisconsin or international students.
